The Literary, Arts and Cultural Committee of Don Bosco School, Itanagar, plays a vital role in enriching the school's intellectual, creative, and cultural life. It provides students with opportunities to discover and develop their talents in literature, language, music, dance, drama, public speaking, and the performing arts, while fostering confidence, creativity, teamwork, and an appreciation for diverse cultures and traditions.
One of the committee's distinctive features is its commitment to 100% student participation in classroom-based competitions. Rather than limiting participation to a few talented students, every student is encouraged to take part so that even the quiet and less confident learners have an opportunity to showcase their abilities, feel recognised, and build self-confidence.
Working closely with students and teachers, the committee organises a wide range of literary, cultural, and academic competitions, including debates, extempore speeches, spelling bees, poetry recitation, storytelling, singing, dance, multiplication table recitation, quizzes, drama, and other special events throughout the academic year.
Through these activities, the committee strives to create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that promotes self-expression, nurtures creativity, strengthens communication and leadership skills, celebrates cultural diversity, and inspires every student to pursue excellence with confidence and respect for others.
